The 'Water Messengers' charter

  1. Water is not a merchandise; it is a common good shared by humanity and all life forms.

  2. Access to drinking water and adequate sanitation is a fundamental human right and must therefore be included in national and international legislations. This right can only be guaranteed by public democratic and transparent management of water.
