- 1.5 billion people do not have access to drinking water;
- 2.6 billion people do not have adequate sanitation;
- 10,000 people, 5,000 of whom are children under the age of 6, die every day of diseases caused by a lack of water;
- 18 million children cannot attend school because of their water duties for their families;
- July 2010 the General Assembly of the United Nations recognized the access to drinking water and to sanitation as a human right!
The objective of this campaign is for water to be recognised as a human right.. To let this campaign gain force GREEN wants to mobilize as much people as possible to join actions!
